  Lockheed eyes Computer Sciences

Report: Defense, equity firms consider offering $12 billion for computer service firm. Lockheed Martin Corp. and three private-equity firms are considering offering $64-$65 a share for Computer Sciences Corp., valuing it at about $12 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday. Negotiations between the two sides are at an early stage and there isn't any guarantee a final deal will be completed, the paper said, citing people familiar with the matter. The Journal said rival private-equity firms and industry players are trying to develop competing offers for the El Segundo, Calif.-based company, which provides computer and technical services to government and corporate customers.
